1. Introduction and Scope
The Tradury (“The Tradury,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and safeguard information when you use our educational trading community, the website at tradury.com, and related services (the “Service”).
This Policy applies to all users and visitors of the Service, including those accessing our community through Discord or similar platforms. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this Policy.
The Tradury is operated as a sole proprietorship by Jakob Weick. No limited liability entity has been formed as of the Effective Date.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of personal data:
- Account Information: usernames, email addresses, and any identifiers used within Discord or related platforms.
- Payment Information: billing details, payment method, and transaction records (if subscriptions or fees are introduced).
- Communications: messages, posts, or content you provide within our community forums, channels, or direct interactions with The Tradury, including emails sent to us.
- Coaching Intake Information: stated experience level, learning objectives, and questions you raise in connection with one-on-one instructional sessions.
- Technical Data: log files, device information, IP addresses, and usage data automatically provided by Discord, our website host, or other third-party services.
- Voluntary Submissions: information you provide via forms, surveys, or customer support inquiries.
We do not request or collect brokerage or exchange credentials, application programming interface keys, private keys, wallet seed phrases, multi-factor authentication codes, Social Security numbers, or full payment card numbers. Any person requesting such information, including any person purporting to represent The Tradury, should be treated as fraudulent.
3. How We Use Information
We use collected information solely for the following purposes:
- To operate, manage, and provide access to the Service.
- To deliver alerts, educational content, and one-on-one instructional coaching sessions.
- To communicate with you about updates, policies, and service-related matters.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions (if applicable).
- To enforce our Terms & Conditions and community guidelines.
- To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, spam, and security incidents.
- To comply with legal obligations, including regulatory requirements and valid law enforcement requests.
4. Sharing and Disclosure of Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We may disclose information in the following circumstances:
- With Service Providers: such as Discord, payment processors, email delivery platforms, or hosting providers, solely to deliver the Service.
- For Legal Compliance: to comply with applicable law, regulation, subpoena, or court order.
- For Safety and Enforcement: to enforce our Terms & Conditions, to protect our rights or the rights of others, or to report suspected market manipulation or securities violations to regulatory or law enforcement authorities.
- In Business Transactions: in connection with mergers, acquisitions, or transfers of assets, subject to this Policy.
- With Consent: when you have provided explicit consent for disclosure.
5. Community Content Is Public
Content you post within community channels is visible to other members and is not private. Messages, screenshots, disclosed positions, and profit or loss figures may be viewed, captured, or redistributed by other members notwithstanding our rules prohibiting redistribution. Once shared, we cannot guarantee removal or control further distribution.
You should not post account balances, account numbers, personal financial details, or other information you are unwilling to have made public.
6. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including role-based access controls limiting administrative access, multi-factor authentication on administrative accounts, and the use of established third-party processors for payment and email services.
However, no method of transmission or storage is fully secure. You acknowledge and accept the inherent risks of online data transmission.
In the event of a breach of security affecting personal information, we will notify affected individuals and applicable regulators as required by law, including N.J.S.A. 56:8-163.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to:
- Provide the Service,
- Comply with legal obligations,
- Resolve disputes, and
- Enforce agreements.
Moderation and enforcement records, including records of suspensions and bans, may be retained for a longer period as necessary to prevent evasion of enforcement actions. When information is no longer required, it will be securely deleted or anonymized.
8. Third-Party Platforms and Discord
The Service is hosted on Discord, a third-party platform that we do not own or control. Discord collects and processes your information under its own privacy policy, which is separate from this Policy and which we encourage you to review.
Discord, and not The Tradury, controls your Discord account, message storage, platform retention and deletion practices, and platform security. We cannot delete your Discord account or any data held by Discord. Requests concerning data held by Discord must be directed to Discord.
Our website is served through Cloudflare and loads fonts from Google Fonts. These providers receive your IP address and basic browser information when you visit tradury.com in order to deliver and secure the website, and process that information under their own privacy policies.
The Service may also link to third-party websites, brokers, exchanges, and tools. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those parties.
9. User Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
- Object to or restrict certain types of data processing.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Request data portability in a structured format.
- Appeal a denial of any request submitted under this Section.

10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, in compliance with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Discord separately requires its users to be at least 13 years of age.
If we learn that we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. If we learn that a user is under 18, we will terminate that user's access to the Service.
11. International Data Transfers
The Tradury operates in the United States. Personal data may be processed and stored on servers located outside your state or country, including by Discord and affiliated service providers. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers.
The Service is not directed to or marketed toward individuals located in the European Union, European Economic Area, or United Kingdom. Where the General Data Protection Regulation or UK GDPR nonetheless applies, our lawful bases for processing are performance of a contract, legitimate interests in security and community moderation, consent for marketing communications, and compliance with legal obligations.
12. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated through Discord announcements, email, or other reasonable means. Continued use of the Service following changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.

14. New Jersey Privacy Rights (NJDPA)
If you are a New Jersey resident, you may have additional rights under the New Jersey Data Privacy Act, which took effect January 15, 2025:
- Rights: You have the right to (a) confirm whether we process your personal data and access that data, (b) correct inaccuracies in your personal data, (c) delete personal data concerning you, (d) obtain a copy of your personal data in a portable and readily usable format, and (e) opt out of processing for purposes of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, or profiling in furtherance of decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.
- Universal Opt-Out Mechanisms: Where applicable, we recognize universal opt-out signals, including the Global Privacy Control, as a valid exercise of your opt-out rights.
- Sensitive Data: We do not knowingly collect or process sensitive personal data as defined by the Act without consent.
- Appeals: If we decline to act on your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision within thirty (30) days. We will respond to appeals within forty-five (45) days. If your appeal is denied, you may contact the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs.

15. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):
- Categories Collected: We may collect identifiers (username, email, Discord handle), commercial information (subscription history), internet activity (usage logs), and inferences drawn from participation in the community.
- Purposes of Collection: As described in Section 3 (How We Use Information).
- Rights: You have the right to (a) request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, (b) request deletion of your personal information, (c) request correction of inaccurate personal information, and (d) opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
- Sensitive Personal Information: We do not collect or use sensitive personal information for purposes beyond those authorized by CPRA regulations.
- Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

16. Other State Privacy Rights
Residents of other states that have enacted comprehensive consumer privacy legislation, including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, and Oregon, may hold rights substantially similar to those described in Sections 14 and 15. We extend the rights described in Section 9 to all United States residents regardless of state of residence.
17. Payment Security and PCI DSS Compliance
Access to the Service is free of charge as of the Effective Date, and no payment information is collected. When The Tradury introduces paid subscriptions or membership services:
- All payment card information will be processed exclusively by third-party payment processors that are certified as PCI DSS compliant.
- The Tradury will not store or retain full credit card numbers, CVV codes, or expiration dates on its systems.
- Recurring billing will be handled securely in compliance with applicable U.S. financial regulations.
- Users will receive clear disclosures of billing frequency, cancellation rights, and refund policies before any payment is processed.
18. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our website does not currently set analytics, advertising, or preference cookies. Our hosting provider may set strictly necessary cookies used for security and bot protection. If we add analytics or preference cookies in the future, this Policy will be updated before they are used. You may control cookies through your browser settings.
We do not use cookies or tracking technologies for cross-context behavioral advertising. Should that change, this Policy will be updated and an opt-out mechanism will be provided.
